Hello CERT members,

Guess what, the hurricane season is almost upon us again. The last few years have been mild, nothing like some of the past years where we were hit with some ferocious storms. Still and all, one never knows what this season hold in store for us.

The worst thing that could happen is for us, as CERT members, to become complacent and not prepare for the worst. As the saying goes, hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Make sure that the supplies in your backpack have been replenished, those of us that have been to the numerous trainings have had to use some of the supplies that were in our backpacks. I will be scheduling a get together to re-fill our supplies.

The Addison Reserve web site has a terrific section on hurricane preparedness. I strongly suggest that we all famileiaris ourselves with it. There is a link to it in the MPOA/General Info area.
